--This is a vegetable-tanned cowhide suitable for tooling, carving, embossing, and wet moulding.

--Vegetable tanned, penetratively dyed, and stuffed with waxes that make it weather resistant(Better than natural veg tan leather). 

--Full grain. The grain remains, allowing the fiber strength and durability, and retaining the natural property of a veg tan leather, such as good water absorption. It can be soaked and andwet-formedd. Can be soaked and wet-formed.Can be carved, tooled, embossed... gives more possibilities to your handwork. 

--The grain also has breathability, resulting in less moisture from prolonged contact. Rather than wearing out, it develops a patina during its expected useful lifetime.

-- The waxed bull vegetable tanned leather is slightly firm, pliable, and smooth; the surface of the leather has been sealed with wax treatment, so it looks more smooth, beautiful. It works great in making wallets, bags, cases, holsters, knife sheaths, wristbands, and other various handcrafted projects.

--WATER can help seal the edge. With this consistent leather, you can wet the edge before burnishing without applying dye, paint, coat, or CMC.

About the Defect

 

Leather pieces are cut from a whole piece of leather. During the growth of a cow, there are a few blemishes, such as scratches or scars, natural grain, small holes, or wrinkles on it, but we ensure the leather surface utilization rate is about 90%. And it should work well for most leather goods that require a veg tan leather. Please contact us if you are not satisfied with the quality.

About the color difference

 

The actual color may be different from the photos, due to many factors such as production batch, display brightness, and light brightness etc. The following photo shows that the different batches are colored differently. 

 

Even with the same piece of cowhide, different parts may also differ. This is because vegetable-tanned leather is thick,  and the tightness and fiber density of each part are different. Therefore, during the dyeing process, the absorption capacity of dyes varies greatly,  and the dyeing stability is poor, which makes color differences more likely to occur. Please pay attention before ordering.

3 Reasons why they have uneven color after thinning:
1. Penetration problem. When dyeing thick leather, it is difficult for the dye to evenly penetrate the entire layer.;
2. Change in fiber structure. Thinning will expose the leather layers of different densities.
3. The degree of treatment of the leather surface and middle part is different.
