Usage Instructions
1. Apply 2‑3 drops of vegetable or sewing machine oil on the strop surface.
2. Spread compound from the oiled area, coating the entire surface. Or crush compound into a paste with oil and brush on. Let it dry.
3. Place blade flat against strop, parallel to the surface. Pull backward with moderate pressure, 5‑8 strokes. (For V‑edge knives (leather knives, skiving knives, kitchen knives, etc.)
4. Rest blade spine against strop surface, roll along the curve toward the edge while pulling backward. The moment the edge contacts leather, lift straight up. Repeat 5‑10 rolling strokes per side. (For convex‑edge blades (round knives, etc.)

Cleaning & Maintenance
Wood Cleaning: Wipe beechwood handle and edges with a dry cloth to prevent paste buildup and dust.
Leather Cleaning: Gently wipe with a soft cloth or paper towel to remove residual paste and metal dust.
Storage: Store in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight. Never wash leather with water; water hardens and cracks vegetable-tanned leather.
Leather Replacement:
1. When leather becomes hard, smooth, or damaged, replace it using the supplied leather piece.
2. Peel off old leather, clean residual glue from wood, peel backing off new leather, align and press.
