Cutting Rules & Utilization Rate Policy
About Size of 3/5 Square Feet Irregular Shape
(Unable to specify the part )

One whole hide ≈ 20–30 sq ft (e.g., pre‑cut as: 3+3+5+5+5+5 = 26 sq ft).
1) Cut perpendicular to the backbone.
The cutting direction is 90° to the spine line.
2)Pre-cut length‑to‑width ratio ≤ 3:1.
Example 3 sq.ft, the long side is 90 cm, the short side must be at least 30 cm.
3) The overall yield (utilization rate) ≥ 65%.
Verified in accordance with LWG inspection standards.
*Utilization Rate Note: Since leather is a natural non‑standard material, yield is somewhat subjective. We follow the inspection standards of Italian LWG‑certified leather groups.
4} Randomly cut from different hide areas.
The 3 or 5 sq.ft pieces are pre-cut randomly from different parts of hide – neck & shoulder, butt, back, or belly.
◆--Leather Area Measurement and Unit Conversion
Natural leather has irregular edges and unique shapes, but all the surface will be calculated. So we apply the "Concave-convex compensation" principle—the protruding parts virtually fill the indentations to form a regular rectangle for measurement.
We measure the effective area by:
1). Flattening the leather piece
2). Matching concave and convex edges
3). Creating an equivalent rectangle (Dotted line as shown.).
4). Calculating:
Effective Area (cm²) = Length (cm) × Width (cm)
The conversion: Internationally recognized unit 1 sq ft ≈ 900 cm²,
Example: If the effective rectangle is length 91 cm, width 49.5cm. 91 cm x 49.5cm / 900 cm²≈5 sqft

Note: Manual measurement, tolerance: ¡À1?2 cm (L/W), area ¡À5?8%. Normal, non?returnable. Guarantee Avg. utilization rate ¡Ý 65%, meets industry standards.
